"The non-profit Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada (AFOA) works to enhance the financial and management practices and skills of Aboriginal people. It does so by providing relevant, accessible and up-to-date learning opportunities, and by sharing best practices using technology and e-learning practices. For instance, AFOA created the Aboriginal Centre for Finance and Management Excellence, a one-stop web portal for Aboriginal people across the country interested in this field.

The Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada (AFOA) is dedicated to helping Aboriginals reach the highest standard of excellence in finance and management. AFOA's initiatives in the development of Awards and Scholarships are examples of that commitment. Each year a ceremony is held in conjunction with the AFOA Canada National Conference where the following awards and scholarship are presented.

Norman Taylor Memorial Bursaries [Aboriginal Financial Officers Association, AFOA]

AFOA is pleased to launch a new program – the Norman Taylor Memorial Bursary Program. There are four $1,000 bursaries to be awarded. Bursaries are open to AFOA members and non-members.
