A Scalers Licence is a licence which authorizes a person to scale primary forest products harvested from NB Crown Lands or primary forest products marketed through a Producer Association. Licences will be renewed every five years.
Fire season usually runs from the third Monday in April until the end of October. Burning permits are required for campfires, burning debris, burning grass and blueberry fields and for larger prescribed fires.
Individuals, corporations or other provincial bodies with existing or proposed New Brunswick-based processing facilities are eligible to apply for a Crown biomass allocation. Licensees must adhere to the policy and guidelines referenced in this section.
