Drafting - Architectural [Nova Scotia Community College, NSCC]

This program provides specialized training in the area of building-related drafting techniques, design theory and application. In the 1st year, you're introduced to drafting concepts through the study and application of manual drawing, sketching and drafting techniques. You explore wood frame construction principles, as applied to residential-scale projects and develop your computer-aided drafting skills, using AutoCAD. In the 2nd year, you develop advanced 2D and 3D computer-aided drafting and presentation skills using AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, and Revit. You also expand your knowledge of construction principles with a focus on commercial buildings.
