The First Nations University of Canada's School of Business and Public Administration offers the following programs: The Certificate in Administration is a unique program, directed to the individual who is already working in, or who is planning to work in, an administrative position in the Indian Public or Private Sector. The subjects in the Certificate Program have been specifically designed to assist participants to strengthen their understanding of management functions and their understanding of management functions and their administration skills so that they can meet the challenges of the rapidly emerging and changing administrative needs of Indian Businesses, Governments, Institutions and Programs. The material covered in the Program will combine a study of management theories, models and research with case studies, practical exercises and applications. This approach allows the student to examine the discipline and the “how-to” of management and then apply this knowledge in his/her work environment. Students are also responsible for preparation of required written and oral assignments and for studying assigned cases and reading material from a wide variety of sources.
