Commercially trained surface supplied hard hat divers are referred to by many as underwater welders. Here at the Holland College Marine Training Center underwater welding is our specialty and we also train our underwater welders to perform all the other commercial diving techniques required of a person employed in this exciting career.

The Advanced Care Paramedicine program prepares Primary Care Paramedic learners with an advanced scope of practice to meet the needs of the health care system throughout Canada. The health care system is in constant change in the delivery and care of the patient and the Paramedical field as a profession is constantly in growth. More is being required and expected of the Advanced Care Paramedic.

As well, advancements in technology are having a major impact on automation and control. With this advancement and growth comes the demand for technical people to install, operate and maintain these systems.

The Electromechanical Technology program prepares graduates for the rapidly changing industrial environment. Graduates also obtain many of the skills sought after by the fast emerging wind power industry. There is an increased need in industry for technicians with cross-disciplinary skills in the areas of electrical and mechanical technology.

Students in this program will develop the skills and knowledge to be successful in many aspects of the HVAC trade including electrical and control systems, installation and servicing of basic heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for residential and commercial application.

The Plumbing program is developed from nationally identified skills for piping occupations. The objective of the program is to provide training for individuals preparing for a career or who are currently involved in this field. The program also allows for specialization in installing process pipe and tubing, natural and liquefied gas, plumbing, heating and instrumentation and fire sprinkler and standpipe systems.
