Applications for the 2019 scholarships will be available this fall.
Up to ten NLCA Scholarships, each valued at $1000, will be awarded this year to the dependents of owners and employees of member firms in good standing. As well as, the Lar Rossiter Memorial Scholarship Award – one scholarship valued at $2000.
The deadline for applications will be in November.

The Saint Mary's University Entrepreneurship Centre is a strong supporter of hiring students. The placement allows them to apply classroom knowledge through a paid work term. Co-op helps students obtain valuable hands on work experience while developing new skills through experiential learning. The co-op program is a great opportunity to work in a field of interest while in school.
Work Smarts is a paid nine month internship that combines work experience, skills training and mentoring. It allows post secondary graduates the opportunity to apply the skill sets they developed at school, in a work setting that is consistent with their past education and will allow them to become leaders in their chosen fields.

Réussir is a social assistance and support program for people who have severely limited capacity for employment and who wish to facilitate their access to secondary vocational studies or post-secondary studies. They maintain their right to receive financial assistance under the Social Solidarity Program in addition to the income they receive from the loans and bursaries program. Moreover, a support allowance could be paid to participating individuals.

This measure is designed for young mothers receiving last-resort financial assistance who want to go back to school. They receive support to help them assume their family responsibilities.

Apprenticeship is a long-standing part of the training and education system in New Brunswick. It is a structured training program that requires the committed participation of three partners: the apprentice, the employer and the government represented by Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification.
