"Kiju’s is the Mi’kmaq word for mother and as we all know mothers have a great influence on the recipes that are passed down from generation to generation around the world. “Kiju’s” will embrace this tradition by offering menu items that are influenced by cultures such as Cape Breton, Mi’kmaq, Italian, Polish, American, Mexican and more."

"The Membertou Gaming Commission (MGC) came into effect in 2002. There are currently 5 gaming pavilions, with head offices located in the newest pavilion at 51 Maillard St. The MGC operates 23 hours a day, 7 days a week, and employees approximately 53 people. Membertou uses the profits gained from this industry to assist in the creation of new business, capital investments and also provides a portion in the form of dividends to all community members each year."

"The newest addition to Membertou’s commercial enterprises is the Membertou Entertainment Centre (MEC), which opened in November 2007. The Entertainment Centre is a beautifully designed 33,000 square foot building that hosts bingo games 7 nights per week."
