The Miramichi Regional Economic Development and Innovation Fund will provide incremental assistance totaling $50 million over a four-year period from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2015.
The Northern New Brunswick Economic Development and Innovation Fund will provide incremental assistance totaling $200 million over a four-year period from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2015.
AYEP seeks to help Indigenous youth develop the attitudes and skills necessary to achieve success in secondary school, the workplace, during post-secondary education or training, and in daily life. The curriculum teaches students to develop entrepreneurial opportunities that can lead to business ownership. They gain an introduction to business that will help them prepare for the working world regardless of their choice of career.
"The Plenary provides a forum for members of the Aboriginal community, Federal representatives, Provincial representatives, members of the private sector and other JEDI partners to network and share information. It is also an opportunity to review and receive updates on other economic development initiatives that are occurring in the province."
