An Employment Counsellor will help individuals search for permanent employment, starting with an employment action plan. Based on interests, skills and hopes for the future, the Employment Counsellor will help define career goals and assist in making a plan to achieve them.

The Province of New Brunswick provides a total of $20,000 annually distributed equally between the four public universities – University of New Brunswick, Université de Moncton, St. Thomas University and Mount Allison University. Each university offers annually one (1) Golden Jubilee Scholarship valued at $5,000 to an eligible student.

The Employer Wage Subsidy component of the Workforce Expansion Program is a collaborative effort to bring our clients, unemployed New Brunswickers, together with employers. The program builds employer/employee relationships which promote the development of our unemployed by gaining skills that ultimately result in long-term sustainable full-time employment. The component also aims at encouraging the hiring of individuals from select groups.
