The Aboriginal Software Tester Training Course is a PQA Testing initiative, funded jointly by PQA and the Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) that provides Aboriginal people with recognized qualifications for the IT industry as Software Testers. The mission of the program is to inform, guide and support participants in learning the appropriate skills and knowledge to meet their goals for a career in this field.
To make sure that access to the First Nation’s information is managed, Council must create a policy for information systems used by the First Nation that follow the rules and standards below:
“If you are getting ready for a career as an entry-level information technology (IT) professional or personal computer (PC) service technician, this course is the first step in your preparation. The course will build on your existing user-level knowledge and experience with personal computer software and hardware to present fundamental skills and concepts that you will use on the job.”
