In this concentration, you learn about stocks, bonds, financial instruments and capital markets – the foundation of individual wealth, corporate development and economic growth. You learn the essentials of: risk management; personal financial planning; portfolio development; securities products, compliance and distribution; and general insurance contracts.

If you are already climbing the ladder of success, and see your last couple of rungs as a career in Human Resources, the Human Resources Management (HRM) program is for you. The program provides comprehensive theory and practices to professionals who already possess a university degree, a community college diploma with three years of working experience, or a combination of learning and equivalent experience. Unama’ki Institute of Natural Resources

The UINR forestry division strives for an environmentally sound way to use our natural resources while creating employment for members of our communities and further strengthening relationships between local industry and Mi’kmaq people.

Management of our commercial fisheries involves a complex range of techniques and strategies including scientific, resource, commercial, and market information. The main mechanism for communication between governments and industry is through advisory and various other fisheries committees and groups. Attendance at these meetings is critical to full participation in co-management of the fisheries.

Le certificat propose une formation fondamentale en gestion basée sur une approche globale de l'organisation. Il permet d'aborder la gestion d'une façon systématique dans une perspective scientifique facilitant la prise de décisions éclairées.

Ce programme permettra à l'étudiant d'acquérir les outils et les connaissances lui permettant de contribuer à des projets et même de lancer et mener à bien ces projets de développement économique et social en tenant compte des spécificités de l'environnement géographique, politique et culturel de sa communauté ainsi que des ressources humaines et financières disponibles. Il permettra également d'explorer des pistes de développement adaptées à sa communauté et de contribuer à une réflexion sur l'importance du leadership et de l'éthique pour une saine gestion de ce développement.

Students have the opportunity to obtain both their BACS and BBA degrees in four years.

Community Development/Community Economic Development (CD/CED) prepares graduates to become facilitators of change in communities that are experiencing multiple barriers to development. A 'hands-on' diploma, graduates will learn how to recognize and use the gifts and assets of the existing community, promote social inclusion and participation at all levels of transformation, understand power dynamics and ethical issues, and will acquire practical facilitation skills to aid in this work.
