This program blends public relations theory with practical experience to meet the growing demand for public relations professionals. A public relations practitioner uses the power of communication to manage perception and affect measurable change. Because of the skills they possess, public relations (PR) professionals play key leadership roles within their organizations, and are valuable contributors to strategy development.
In this concentration, you develop knowledge and skills to work as front line/entry level professional helpers support clients in a range of human service settings. Community Services professionals work with individuals in need of various support and advocacy services. This type of service can involve working with youth from age 7-21 and / or individuals of any age category with mental, intellectual, or developmental disabilities.
This program provides an opportunity to get the skills needed to work as a community disability support worker. In this field you help support individuals to live full and rich lives and promote their full citizenship.
Addictions support professionals help individuals, families and groups affected by harmful involvement with alcohol, drugs, gambling and other addictive behaviours. Working as part of a client-centred team with other professionals they design and implement strategies for dealing with addictions.
