The Provincial Forest program Tenders site offers information on public tenders related to forest management and harvest activities on public lands managed under this program. Some of these tenders pertain to the harvest of timber and non-timber forest products, while others relate to the delivery of specific silvicultural and infrastructure work on Provincial Forest and other public properties.
An integrated, stream of project-based design clinic courses through all four-years of the program provides students with the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through working on real community and industry-based projects. Traditional content courses are delivered via an integrated and timely approach so that professional practice skills are developed in a simulated workplace environment.
If you are interested in the mechanical maintenance industry, why not consider the Mechanical Technician (Co-op) program? This program prepares you for work in the industrial mechanical maintenance field. You will learn the basic functions of pipefitting, welding, rigging, electrical and machining. A hands-on learning environment allows you to learn to install, assemble, maintain and commission mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, cooling and exhaust systems in industrial plants.
Keep the wheels in motion. Our two to three year Mechanical Engineering Technology program trains you to provide technical support and services in the design, development, maintenance and testing of machines, components, tools, heating and ventilation systems. In your first year, you'll learn the basics of mechanical engineering technology. In your second year, you'll learn advanced machine design, computer-aided drawings and specifications, building systems including HVAC, and engineering manufacturing operations and processes.
If you’d like to install, configure and operate electronic systems and machinery of all sizes, our two-year Electronics Engineering Technology: Industrial program is for you. Get to know industrial electronic applications including motor controls, power control and conditioning, opto-electronics, sensors and signal conditioning, programmable logic controllers, power generation and distribution systems. Your first year covers basic training in electronics engineering technology, while your second year immerses you in various key components to industrial electronics.
Have a positive impact on our planet by learning how to be a “green” engineer technologist. Our two-year Electrical Engineering Technology: Alternate Energy Systems program introduces you to the production, distribution and installation of electrical energy systems, with an emphasis on sustainable energy sources such as wind, solar and geo exchange.
Change skylines and redirect traffic with our Civil Technician program. Learn what it takes to provide technical support to scientists, engineers and other professionals working on a range of construction and engineering projects. As a civil technician, you will provide technical support and services to scientists, engineers and other professionals.
"Highway and Municipal specialists help create the most efficient path from Point A to Point B. You'll learn civil engineering technology fundamentals, innovative design skills, highway construction planning, and water and sewerage system operation. Many courses in your first year are common with other technology programs and provide flexibility for credit transfer. As the population continues to grow, efficient roads and drinking water systems remain vital."
If a hard hat and building big stuff is for you, consider our two-year Civil Engineering Technology: Construction Management program. Take an in-depth look at construction principles and practices, equipment and management-related topics. Our on-the-job practicum readies you to assist in planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating construction projects. Manage blueprints, contract documents and budget from start to finish, and according to schedule. Your first year of training covers the basics of building engineering technology.
It’s what makes a building more than just a box. From electrical, lighting, heating and air conditioning, to alarms and fire and water protection services, our two-year Civil Engineering Technology: Building Systems program covers everything that makes a building more than a shell. Learn exciting skills to assist in the design of mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings. While your first year covers the basics of building engineering technology, year two moves into mechanical and electrical systems, architectural drawings, structural and industrial designs.
