The Culinary Institute of Canada has been training aspiring chefs since 1983 and is regarded by many as the premiere culinary school in Canada. Its graduates can be found all over the world.

Through exposure to a wide variety of ideas, challenges and media, graduates leave the program with a solid portfolio and a wide variety of skills. The curriculum involves students in design theory and application, creative problem solving, typography, color prepress, and print production areas, digital design work and the management of projects.

Note to all applicants: Remember that you are applying to a creative program whose focus is on training students as graphic designers. This will enable you to seek work in a variety of areas within this industry. These may include printing and publishing companies, newspaper, magazine and book producers, art and design studios, advertising agencies and other creative studios, as well as the new media fields including companies producing design solutions for the web, television and the film industries. Keep this in mind when producing work for submissions.

The two year Video Game Art and Animation Diploma program is designed to prepare students for a career in the art department of a video game developer.

The newspaper business and a growing number of related fields place a premium on clear, concise, accurate writing based on the timely collection of information. The Journalism program emphasizes these skills while recognizing the importance of new technology and the growing use of broadcast reporting techniques on websites.

Photography and Digital Imaging offers professional level training for this challenging yet rewarding field. The program goal is to graduate students as photographers, assistant photographers and/or Photoshop™ technicians.

The Culinary Institute of Canada, located at Holland College's Tourism and Culinary Centre, has provided culinary and hotel and restaurant management training since 1983, and is regarded by many as the premiere culinary school in Canada. The Police Science (Cadet) program blends knowledge with hands-on training using real life situations and various simulations to prepare police cadets for the law enforcement profession.

Correctional Officers monitor, supervise and interact with incarcerated offenders to help offenders to become law-abiding citizens after serving their sentences. Correctional Officers ensure the safety and well-being of inmates within institutions. Some tasks include: supervising inmate movement, escorting inmates both inside and outside the institution, searching cells, offenders, visitors, vehicles, living units, and surrounding areas, extracting inmates from cells, and conducting security checks.
