SUPPORTING YOUR JOURNEY TO UNIVERSITY

Transitioning from high school to university can feel
like a big change. We smooth this transition with the
Qualico Bridge to Success Program (QBTS).
With QBTS, new Indigenous students are connected
with academic learning support, advising, peer-mentoring
and special events to enhance the first year experience.
There is no cost to participate in this program.

A $750 bursary is available for Nova Scotia students in 3rd year of study in the following programs: Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management for those in the UNB Forest Ecosystem Management Program or Forest Engineering Program (RPF option). This annual award is intended to create awareness of, and future participation in, the various professional foresters associations in Canada, and more particularly in Nova Scotia.

The Catherine Lalonde Memorial Award will be presented to a graduate student who demonstrates excellence in their studies of structural wood or wood design. The Canadian Wood Council (CWC) invites submission from graduate students in engineering, architecture, wood science and forestry. Research projects must demonstrate direct benefit for structural products manufactured by the Canadian forest products industry.

The Commerce Society has been a large and active society on the Mount Allison campus for many years. This year we are continuing with our traditional events such as the famous "Five and Dime", kickoff BBQ's, guest speakers, "Pool with Profs", and trips to visit Commerce Alumni. As well we have new initiatives such as "Meet and Greet with Profs", a Mount Allison Career Fair, and fundraising for local charities. The Commerce Society, in particular the executive, also act as a voice for commerce students by giving feedback to the Commerce faculty on the department and the programme.

Great teachers can change lives. They lead and mentor, challenge and inspire, and help students reach their potential. The Bachelor of Education programme creates great teachers by combining professional courses with extensive classroom experience.

Scholarships-in-course are open to returning students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their course of studies. Candidates should submit the following to the Awards Officer: a completed scholarship application form, a letter of academic reference, and a brief overview of educational background, academic awards and accomplishments.

The Entrance Scholarship Programme is highly competitive and is designed to attract outstanding scholars to the St. Thomas University campus. Except when otherwise specified, the entrance awards are open to candidates for full-time admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Arts Programme who are applying on the basis of their high school records. Among the Entrance Scholarships tenable at St. Thomas University are the following:
