Moreover, a support allowance could be paid to participating individuals.

The National Reconciliation Program for Duplessis Orphans Who Were Residents of Certain Institutions offers individual financial assistance of $15,000 to persons commonly known as Duplessis orphans, who were residents of certain non-psychiatric institutions.

This measure is designed for young mothers receiving last-resort financial assistance who want to go back to school. They receive support to help them assume their family responsibilities.
