The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour has collaborated with business, industry, community and labour organizations to introduce Workplace Essential Skills (WES) training to employed individuals and job-seekers throughout the province. This training maximizes the skills and resources of New Brunswickers to ensure the competitive edge, innovation and efficiency needs to lead business into a prosperous future.

The Graduate Employment Program is designed to assist recent post-secondary graduates secure valuable work experience in their field of study. Eligible graduates can use this wage subsidy program to market themselves to employers.
The Occupational Health and Safety committee is an advisory team comprised of management and worker representatives whose primary role is to assist the Carpenters Millwrights College in creating and maintaining health and safety in the workplace. The committee is responsible for monitoring the health, safety and welfare of the workers, students, as well as other members entering the workplace. A current listing of OH&S Committee members are posted on bulletin boards throughout the College.
There is a fully-equipped cafeteria located on the second floor which serves breakfast, hot and cold lunch and snack foods. Microwaves are also available for students wishing to bring their own lunch. Check bulletin board for cafeteria for hours of business and daily specials. For sanitary reasons, please remove coveralls before proceeding to the cafeteria.
The Apprenticeship Completion Grant (ACG) is a one-time taxable cash grant of $2,000 maximum available to registered apprentices who have successfully completed their apprenticeship training and obtained their journeyperson certification in a designated Red Seal trade on or after January 1, 2009.
Registration for this program is restricted to Carpenters who are registered with the Industrial Training Division, Department of Education, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
